Brief writeup Memorial for ISABELLA
Born 25th July, 1936, Queens, New York.
Daughter of Lily (Wakefield) and John O'Hare and sister of Mary Agnes . Her Father, John O'Hare had migrated to the USA from Motherwell, Scotland. He worked for ConEdison, NY.
In 1938 the Family went to Atlantic City for a summer vacation. Later that year, her Father passed away of a heart attack. Isabella did not remember her father and often wished that she had known him.
In 1939, her Mother moved the family to the McKeesport area where the rest of the Wakefields lived. Isabella went to school in McKeesport and graduated in 1954 from St. Peters Catholic High School. She worked at various places before joining Bell Telephone.
In 1958,herself and her friend Eleanor, boarded a Greyhound Bus in Pittsburgh, destination Virginia Beach. On the bus were 2 US Navy sailors. Mark Evdemon (her future husband of 42 happy years) was attracted to Isabella and started a conversation and later asked for her address.
Isabella had a habit of making up an address and giving it; this time however, Mark got lucky in that she gave him the correct address. Call it fate, huh?
